Scolt Head Island is an offshore barrier island near Brancaster, north Norfolk, England, (but within the neighbouring parish of Burnham Norton) located 10 km west of Wells-next-the-Sea. It is a National Nature Reserve. It is steadily growing westwards toward the wreck of the SS Vina visible from Brancaster Beach.
The island comprises sand dunes, salt marsh, intertidal sand and mud flats, and shingle. It supports nationally and internationally important numbers of breeding Sandwich Tern, Roseate Terns, Arctic Terns and Little Terns, as well as wintering waders and wildfowl.
A seasonal (spring/summer) ferry connects the island with the village of Burnham Overy Staithe.
